Overview
Our client, a leading healthcare institution committed to delivering high-quality patient care and fostering medical excellence, is hiring a Gastroenterologist for a busy outpatient setting on Long Island.
This respected medical center offers a dynamic, collaborative environment within an integrated health network. In this pivotal role, you will join an experienced team of gastroenterologists focusing on general gastroenterology. The position emphasizes clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and opportunities for professional development through teaching, research, and leadership within the academic community, with a rewarding practice environment that supports community engagement and work‑life balance.
Responsibilities
Provide outpatient gastroenterology services in a well-established clinic setting.
Collaborate with a multi-specialty team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Manage a call rotation of 1:3, with streamlined internal referrals within a fully integrated healthcare system.
Engage in academic activities, including teaching and research, with potential for an academic appointment.
Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality, contributing to the hospital’s recognition as one of America’s safest hospitals.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1:3 call rotation.
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Eligibility for or current licensure in New York State.
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
