Job Summary and Responsibilities

nAs our Gastroenterologist, you will join a team dedicated to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we serve in Durango and the surrounding region. This position will provide exceptional digestive health care while contributing to the delivery of the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system.

nEvery day you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. You will perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic EGD, colonoscopy, and other advanced gastrointestinal procedures, while collaborating closely with primary care providers, hospitalists, surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. As a key member of the digestive health service line, you will help expand access to comprehensive gastroenterology services while building strong relationships with referring providers and serving patients throughout the Four Corners region.

nnYou will possess expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex gastrointestinal and liver diseases, along with advanced endoscopic skills, strong communication abilities, and outstanding clinical judgment.

n nWe are offering a competitive $700,000 base, a generous CME allowance, and recruiting incentives, which include a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, and relocation assistance for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

nJob Requirements

nRequired:

nnnMust have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.

n

nnObtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") registration;

n

nnBe board certified/ board eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;

n

nnObtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution

n

nnDoctorate MD or DO required

n

nnActive or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado

n$600,00 - $610,542 /year
