Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our PRN Gastroenterologist, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Silverdale, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of Gastroenterology cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Gastroenterologist, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex Gastroenterology disorders, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
Franciscan Digestive Care Associates, part of the Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is recruiting a PRN Gastroenterologist based at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, WA, a 386 bed Level III trauma center.
SMMC opened a new, state of the art campus in 2020.
Our group of over 80 clinicians in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery provide over 76,000 clinic visits, 55,000 endoscopic procedures and 9,000 surgeries annually across Virginia Mason Franciscan Health locations.
The center is founded on providing the best possible clinical outcomes to the patients it serves with additional focus on innovation through research as well as training the next generation of experts and leaders in the field.
Infrastructure includes a clinical research and analytics team, in addition to academic support. Several clinical and research fellowships are housed within the center and clinicians are engaged as faculty in training medical and surgical residents.
Silverdale is located on the peninsula in Kitsap County which is surrounded by water in every direction, mountains, beautiful landscapes and fresh air. Outdoor activities abound including hiking, biking, kayaking and whale watching.
If you prefer to venture off to the city, Seattle is just a short ferry ride away.
The hourly rate for this position is $324.55.
Job Requirements
Required Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
Active or eligible license in the state of Washington
Strong clinical skills with experience in general Gastroenterology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
