Job Overview
Leading nonprofit healthcare system is looking for an Outpatient Gastroenterologist to join its growing team in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The organization has more than 800 physicians and a robust practice network across Northeast Texas.
Compensation & Benefits
Guaranteed salary of $650,000 per annum for the first two years
Annual RVU threshold of 5,200 RVUs with additional compensation of $68.50 per RVU above the threshold
Optional production and quality bonuses, as well as quarterly incentive opportunities
Sign‑on bonus: up to $75,000 with a 3‑year agreement or up to $50,000 with a 2‑year agreement
Relocation assistance available
Full‑month paid time off each year
Employer‑paid malpractice insurance, including tail coverage
Retirement plan with employer matching
Medical, dental, and vision insurance fully paid by the employer
Student loan repayment assistance up to $125,000 ($25,000 annually for eligible candidates)
Schedule & Call Responsibilities
Flexible schedule options: 5‑day workweek (preferred), 4‑day workweek, or 7 on 7 off hospitalist schedule
Clinic days: 3 days per week and procedure days: 2 days per week
No routine hospital call required; potential for future weekend coverage as needed
Standard support staff included: registered nurses, medical assistants, and nurse practitioner support
Equipment & Facilities
Practice site at a CHRISTUS clinic with multiple facilities
Available instruments: scopes, Olympus equipment, and standard GI equipment
Opportunity to further customize procedural training in ERCP, EUS, and hepatobiliary procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
Board‑certified Gastroenterologist or completing final year of training
Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Texas medical license
