Job description
General Gastroenterologist – Faculty Position
Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practiced in UT Health East Texas facilities at UT Henderson, TX (34 miles east of Tyler, TX) and UT Jacksonville, TX (27 miles south of Tyler, TX).
About Your Work
Join 4 physicians, 2 advanced providers and support staff
Support two rural short‑term acute care hospitals – Henderson 96‑bed, Jacksonville 33‑bed
Full‑time employed position
No EUS or ERCP required
Both inpatient and outpatient services
Mon–Fri 8am–5pm (Clinic & Procedure days)
20–30 patients expected per day
Opportunity to work with residents
Open to new graduates
Smart Technology: Use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to better work‑life balance and revenue.
