Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity
Carle Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing Outpatient Gastroenterology team in Peoria and Pekin, Illinois.
Opportunity Details
Established outpatient-only practice
Schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, opportunity to work 4, 10-hour shifts
Initial training will take place in Peoria, IL, and transition to provide services in Pekin, IL
The GI Outpatient APP will:
Perform H&P on new patients and see return patients for various GI conditions including: autoimmune, hepatitis, viral hepatitis, IBS, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, gastritis, PUD, GERD, anemia, dysphagia, pancreatitis, diverticulitis, celiac disease, EPI
Job functions include: ordering and interpretation of labs / imaging results, prescribing medication, ordering EGD / Colonoscopy / ERCP /EUS, and following up after procedures to review pathology with patient.

Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Education/Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in nursing with Acute Care/Adult/Geriatric/Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
GI clinicals or work experience is a plus, but not required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse OR physician assistant licensure
