nGastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Hospitalist

nPrime Healthcareis seeking a dedicatedGastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)to join our inpatient gastroenterology team. This hospital-based position offers a desirable7-on/7-off schedule, providing an excellent work-life balance while delivering high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
nThe APP will work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, hospitalists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to manage inpatient consults, coordinate care, and support a growing GI service line within a physician-led healthcare system.

nnEvaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions

nnPerform patient assessments, daily rounds, consultations, and discharge planning

nnCoordinate care with hospitalists, specialists, and ancillary services

n nResponsibilities
nnnConduct inpatient GI consultations and follow-up evaluations
n
nnDevelop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
n
nnMonitor patient progress and adjust care plans as appropriate
n
nnOrder, interpret, and review diagnostic studies and laboratory results
n
nnCoordinate procedures, transitions of care, and discharge planning
n
nnDocument patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR
n
nnEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
n
n nQualifications
nnnMaster’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
n
nnBoard Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
n
nnCurrent or eligible state licensure
n
nnMinimum of one year of Gastroenterology, Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, or related inpatient experience preferred
n
nnStrong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
n
nnCommitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000-$140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
