Schedule: Full-Time
Salary per annum: $150,000 - $200,000

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
Assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
Prescribe medication and administer treatments
Provide counseling to residents and their families
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
Commitment to person-centered care
Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
DEA License
CPR BCLS/BLS certified
Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
A year of experience in Gastroenterology
Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
Must have great organizational and time management skills.
Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
