Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Atl-Atlanta Liver and Pancreas
Job Details:
Locum/traveler position available for immediate assistance covering both volume increase and a leave vacancy with an unknown end date
Weekend coverage only - 4 weekend days per month (Saturday and Sunday)
Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM per weekend day (8 hours per day)
16 hours per pay period or 32 hours per month
Responsible for rounding on all inpatients within the Liver and Pancreas specialty
Take weekend call from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Communicate any urgent or questionable patient concerns to the physician on call
Create inpatient notes and complete current/outstanding discharge summaries
Conduct new patient consults and prepare weekend sign-out for all patients rounded on during the week
Additional responsibilities may be directed by the physician on call as needed
Combination of both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Hospital patients seen depending on current census; office patients average 15 to 25 per clinic
No surgical assistance required
Oncology or surgical oncology experience preferred; GI, HPB background also desirable
