Gastroenterology Physician Opportunity

Opportunity Highlights

Collaborate with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including hospitalist support and two colorectal surgeons in the community.
Clinic conveniently located less than half a mile from the hospital, facilitating seamless transitions between clinic and hospital duties.
Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
As a Gastroenterology Physician, you will provide inpatient call coverage in a community-based hospital setting. Your expertise will be crucial in managing a variety of gastroenterological conditions, and you will have the opportunity to perform procedures such as ERCP. The role is supported by a robust team of healthcare professionals, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
Schedule and Assignment Details
The schedule consists of 24-hour coverage from Monday to Thursday (7 am to 7 am) and a 12-hour shift on Fridays (7 am to 7 pm). This setup allows for an intensive yet structured workweek with no weekend call, making it conducive to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Support and Work Environment
Join a collaborative team environment with strong support from hospitalists and specialized surgeons. You will have access to a well-equipped GI clinic close to the hospital, streamlining patient care and enhancing your clinical efficiency. Qualifications
Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required.
Active DEA license at the start of the assignment.
ERCP proficiency is required to meet the clinical demands of the role.
Current MI license required; IMLC accepted for assignments starting 60+ days out with proof of LOQ.
Compliance with health requirements, including current vaccinations and health screenings.
