Job description
Locum Gastroenterologist Opportunity in Bay City, MI Join a vibrant healthcare team in Bay City, Michigan, known for its welcoming small-town atmosphere paired with big-city amenities. Our facility is seeking dedicated Gastroenterologists for ongoing 24-hour call coverage through 2026. The schedule offers a balanced work-life dynamic with no weekend calls, allowing you to fully enjoy the picturesque waterfront community.
Job Responsibilities: Provide 24-hour call coverage from Monday 7am to Thursday 7am.
Manage 12-hour call coverage on Fridays from 7am to 7pm.
Perform Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
Collaborate with hospitalist support and local colorectal surgeons.
Work at a GI clinic located less than half a mile from the hospital.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Gastroenterology (BE providers willing to be reviewed will also be considered).
Active Michigan medical license (required).
ERCP proficiency (required).
No history of malpractice (required for quick credentialing).
Familiarity with reverse billing and Doc Time clocking system.
License and Certification Requirements: Current DEA registration (required at the time of start).
Vaccination documentation for Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and Flu (as specified).
TB test results (within 12 months) and TDAP vaccination (within the last 10 years).
