Job Summary
Serves as a general Gastroenterology staff physician.
Practice Highlights
36 hours of direct patient care per week.
4 hours of administrative time.
Dedicated GI lab time 2-3 times per week, seeing on average 12-15 patients per day.
Clinic patient visits 1.5 days per week.
Responsibilities
Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG GI practice in all venues including clinic and lab.
Supports mechanisms to gather and report quality measures.
Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints.
Participates in quality improvement plans.
Works with leadership team including clinic manager and lab manager on the practice's financial, clinical, and service quality performance.
Participates in recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice.
Takes corrective action when arranged with accountability and authority.
Determines care plans for patients and executes them.
Teaches, trains and oversees APCs in the care they deliver to GI patients in clinic.
Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications
M.D./D.O. in clinical practice.
Current New Mexico medical license required.
Board certified in Gastroenterology.
