Weekend coverage, beginning Friday 5pm through Monday 7am

Call response time: 30 minutes
Requirements
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Board certification must be in Gastroenterology specialty
Texas license or IMLC
BLS, ACLS, PALS
Required Procedures / Skills
Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder - cautery vs. laser)
Small bowel biopsy
Lower GI endoscopy
Sigmoidoscopy
Flexible and rigid endoscopy
Colonoscopy (with biopsy and excision of polyp)
Assignment Details
Inpatient setting
EMR: Epic
Duties include admissions and rounding
Hospital stroke certified
Patients seen: 2
Phone consults: 5
Admissions: 1
Facility Trauma Level: 4
