Job description
Opportunity Details: Inpatient / hospital-based Gastroenterology coverage
100% inpatient
Adult and geriatric patient population
Approximately 8 follow-up patients and 6 8 new consults per day
24-hour call coverage
Saturday 7:00 AM through the following Saturday at 7:00 AM
In-house coverage from 7:00 AM 7:00 PM , followed by pager/beeper overnight
Approximately 1 week of coverage per month
Call ratio: 1:4
Average call-back: approximately 2 hours/week
Epic EMR
Level II Trauma Center
No teaching or leadership responsibilities
ERCP experience preferred, but not required
Requirements: Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology fellowship required
Active Michigan medical license
ACLS and BLS through AHA
Experience with hospital-based GI procedures, including: Colonoscopy
EGD
ERCP
Advanced GI procedures
Epic EMR experience preferred
