Job description
Enterprise Medical Recruiting is assisting a hospital-employed practice in Port Arthur to recruit two full-time Gastroenterologists. This is a high-demand, bread-and-butter GI opportunity with immediate volume, strong community need, and the ability to build and shape the service line from the ground up.
This is a traditional practice model with both clinic and inpatient responsibilities. The hospital is currently supported by locums coverage and an NP-led GI clinic, creating a significant opportunity for a motivated physician to step into an established referral base and grow quickly.
Practice Details:
Hospital-employed position
Market-leading base compensation plus wRVU bonus
Traditional practice: clinic + inpatient consults
Procedures performed in the hospital - Clinic located in the hospital
Bread-and-butter GI (no advanced endoscopy required)
Strong procedural expectations (20-30 scopes per day)
ER call coverage shared between two full-time GIs (locums support in place until fully staffed) - Extra pay for ancillary call coverage
Large, underserved community with immediate need
Located in Southeast Texas, Port Arthur is approximately 1.5 hours from Houston and its major international airport. The area offers coastal living, a lower cost of living, and access to major metro amenities without the daily congestion.
