Join our dedicated team at an inpatient facility in Richlands, VA, where you'll play a crucial role in providing gastroenterology care. As a locum tenens physician, you'll perform procedures in the Endoscopy Suite and manage patient consultations, with a schedule that offers structured clinic and hospital responsibilities. This position involves a mix of procedure days and patient visits, including night call duties, ensuring comprehensive care delivery.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Procedures: Monday, Wednesday, 1/2 Thursday, Friday; Office Visits: Tuesday, 1/2 Thursday; Night calls and hospital rounds
Patient Population: Adult
Location: Richlands, VA
Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities Perform upper and lower GI procedures, including endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
Conduct biopsies, polyp excisions, and manage gastrointestinal bleeding
Consult and examine patients in both clinical and hospital settings
Participate in night call and manage patient consults
Qualifications Board Certification Eligible in Gastroenterology
Proficient in required endoscopic procedures and techniques
Experience in both outpatient and inpatient care settings
Working Hours Procedures: Monday, Wednesday, 1/2 Thursday, Friday
Office Visits: Tuesday, 1/2 Thursday
Night call coverage and hospital rounds daily
Skills Proficiency in GI endoscopic procedures
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in gastroenterology
Excellent communication and patient management capabilities
