Gastroenterologist (Outpatient) Location: Sarasota, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to join our growing outpatient practice in Sarasota, Florida. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive digestive health services in a patient-centered environment while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering exceptional care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, and performing endoscopic procedures while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders.
Perform outpatient procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, and other diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures.
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
Manage conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and colorectal cancer screening.
Interpret laboratory, pathology, imaging, and endoscopic findings.
Provide patient education regarding disease management, preventive care, and treatment options.
Coordinate care with primary care physicians, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical excellence.
Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship.
Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Strong clinical and procedural skills.
Excellent communication and patient care abilities.
New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation Annual Salary: $500,000 $650,000
