Job description
Join a dynamic outpatient clinic setting as a Gastroenterologist and provide high-quality care to adult patients. This locum tenens position offers an immediate start for an ongoing assignment located in Somerset, KY. You will have the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, performing a range of essential gastroenterology procedures.

Job Responsibilities
Conduct upper and lower GI endoscopies, including biopsies and polyp excisions.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP procedures.
Carry out necessary procedures such as sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and insertion/management of Sengstaken-Blakemore tubes.
Engage in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of general gastrointestinal conditions.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Proven expertise in internal medicine - gastroenterology procedures
Working Hours
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Skills
Proficiency in upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and foreign body removal
Ability to perform procedures like fulguration of bleeder and injection of varices
Competence in small bowel biopsy, flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
Experience with therapeutic endoscopic techniques
