Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
Provide locum tenens gastroenterology coverage Monday through Friday performing scheduled colonoscopies
Visit inpatient consults from the night before and perform any additional required GI lab services following scheduled procedures
See 5-7 patients per shift/encounter
Coverage dates: November 5, 2026 through November 18, 2026
Board certification required (minimum: certified)
Fellowship training required
Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center
Required specialty skills include: Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser fulguration, and injection of varices
ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)
Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation
Small bowel biopsy
Lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
Liver biopsy
Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
