nGuardian Angel Senior Services is seeking caring, reliable, and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Companions to support elderly and disabled clients in maintaining their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.
nIf you are patient, flexible, and committed to treating others with dignity and respect, we want to hear from you. Prior home health care experience is helpful, but not required-we provide training and support to help you succeed.
Basic Function
nTo maintain the client's independence by assisting with activities of daily living in accordance with established care plans.
Key Responsibilities
nnnFollow individualized client care plans and communicate changes with the care team
n
nnPrepare meals; assist or feed clients as needed in a pleasant manner
n
nnPerform light housekeeping and laundry to keep the client's environment neat and orderly
n
nnMonitor supplies and place orders as needed per care plan
n
nnAssist with rehabilitation exercises and treatments
n
nnEncourage and assist with personal hygiene and grooming
n
nnNever lift a client from the floor-if a fall occurs, call Guardian Angel Senior Services or 911 in an emergency
n
nnWear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
n
nnProvide transportation, run errands, and accompany clients on outings and shopping trips
n
nnMaintain email access for schedules and updates
n
nnProvide emotional support and companionship
n
nnMaintain strict confidentiality of client information
n
nnDocument client records each shift and report any changes to the Supervisor
n
nnAttend required in-service training and staff meetings
n
n Requirements
nnnCommitment to the rights of elderly and disabled people to live dignified lives
n
nnCaring, supportive attitude
n
nnPatience, flexibility, and understanding
n
nnStrong communication, organization, and time management skills
n
nnAbility to lift and move up to 75 lbs
n
nnAbility to bend, stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
n
nnReliable transportation
