Description
The GCP Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud solutions across the enterprise. This role supports mission‑critical financial systems, ensuring high availability, regulatory compliance, and strong security posture within Google Cloud Platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud architectures using GCP core services such as Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and GKE
Build automated, repeatable infrastructure using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration
Strengthen cloud security through IAM governance, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance controls aligned with financial regulations
Monitor and optimize cloud workloads using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and cost‑management tools
Partner with security, architecture, and application teams to deliver resilient, compliant cloud solutions
Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement across cloud environments

Required Skills & Experience Strong expertise in GCP architecture, networking, IAM, and security
Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or similar automation tools

Understanding of financial‑sector compliance frameworks (PCI, SOC2, FFIEC, etc.)
Ability to design scalable, fault‑tolerant systems and manage complex cloud environments

This is a Contract position based out of Denver, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
