Job description
General CleanerThe General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in office buildings, warehouses, industrial areas, and other facility interiors. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety protocols.Key ResponsibilitiesSanitize restrooms and replenish suppliesEmpty trash receptacles and replace linersSweep, mop, and scrub floorsSpot clean upholstered surfacesDust walls, blinds, furniture, partitions, and desktopsPolish stainless-steel surfaces (e.g., water fountains, fixtures, warehouse shelves)Remove stains using appropriate cleaning solutionsSweep walkways and common areasPerform other duties as assigned by managementDaily TasksSet up cleaning carts and brute barrels with proper linersCollect and dispose of office trash; wipe down desktopsClean offices and close doors upon completion (must lift up to 45 lbs)Detail the assigned cleaning section nightlyClean and disinfect restrooms thoroughlyReplenish toilet tissue, soap, and other suppliesClean toilets, urinals, sinks, and restroom wallsSweep and mop restroom floorsApply air freshener as neededRestock the cleaning cart for the next shiftSafety & PPE ProtocolsYou must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including:GlovesSafety goggles or face shield (when handling chemicals)Non-slip footwearFace mask (as needed based on environment)Follow all company safety procedures and chemical handling guidelinesProperly mix and label cleaning solutionsReport any safety hazards or incidents immediatelyQualificationsAbility to maintain confidentialityProfessional and positive demeanor when handling difficult situationsAbility to follow instructions and work independentlyReliable and punctualMust pass a criminal background checkMust be able to work scheduled shiftsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 45 lbs.Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsShift 2 4:30 pm- 3:00 am Monday- ThursdayFull time 500 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320 DC1 Dollar Tree
