General AssemblyWe are looking for a talented General Assembly to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Mineral Point, WI.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Ensuring Safety: By promptly reporting hazards and incidents, and using appropriate personal protective equipment, you will help maintain a safe work environment.Promoting Health: Engaging in HSE training and promoting interdependence will contribute to a healthier workplace.Maintaining Quality: Following standard work procedures and performing quality inspections will help minimize costs and improve product quality.Supporting Delivery: By performing your role effectively and supporting continuous improvement activities, you will enhance process efficiency and productivity.Sustaining Cleanliness: Keeping your work area clean and orderly will contribute to a more efficient and pleasant working environment.Applying Best Practices: Utilizing Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology will help optimize plant operations.Fostering Teamwork: Effective communication with your team and support teams will ensure smooth operations and collaborative problem-solving.Driving Improvement: Actively participating in identifying ways to improve quality, safety, processes, and employee development will drive continuous improvement and innovation.External Qualifications and CompetenciesTo be successful in this role you will need the following:Communicate Effectively: Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to the unique needs of different audiences, ensuring everyone is on the same page.Drive Results: Consistently achieve your goals, even when faced with tough circumstances, demonstrating resilience and determination.Ensure Accountability: Hold yourself and others accountable to meet commitments, fostering a culture of reliability and trust.Champion Health and Safety: Model proactive health and safety behaviors, identify and report hazards, and participate in actions to improve workplace safety, contributing to an injury-free environment.Apply Manufacturing Knowledge: Implement changes in processes, equipment, and applications effectively to meet functional needs and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.Additional Responsibilities Unique to this PositionAdditional InformationGeneral Assembly rolePrevious Assembly skills would be beneficial.Compensation (for United States)Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.
