General AssemblyThe General Assembly Associate assembles industrial doors and components in a manufacturing environment. This position requires experience using hand and power tools, reading a tape measure accurately, following work instructions, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production setting.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!General Assembly Details:Temp-to-Hire position$17.00 to $18.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 03:30pm)Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure, including fractionsExperience using hand and power toolsManufacturing or assembly experienceStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to follow written and verbal work instructionsAssemble industrial doors and components according to specifications and work ordersMeasure, cut, drill, fasten, and align materials during productionPerform quality inspections to ensure products meet company standardsLoad, unload, and prepare materials and finished products as neededGeneral Assembly Qualifications:1 to 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferredMust be able to read a tape measure accuratelyExperience with hand and power toolsBasic math and measurement skillsGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityStand and walk for most of the shift Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance as neededPerform repetitive tasks throughout the dayBend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist regularlyWork in a non-climate-controlled environment ranging from approximately 50°F to 110°FApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
