Job description
A well-supported outpatient dental clinic in Kittery, Maine is seeking a General Dentist for locum tenens coverage from March through June 2026. This assignment is covering an office that would otherwise go dark and offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends or call.
Position Details
Locum Tenens 1099 Outpatient Dental Clinic (Heartland Dental) Monday Thursday schedule (no weekends, no call) Daytime hours only EMR: Dentrix
Clinical Scope
General dentistry including fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures Simple and surgical extractions Root canals, hygiene checks Invisalign and implant experience preferred but not required Adult patients with some cooperative pediatrics Support & Environment: Experienced support staff on site Providers may refer out complex cases Focus on patient education and quality care
Requirements
Active state dental license BLS certification DEA preferred but not required Ability to manage a full daily schedule and multiple hygiene checks
Credentialing
