Job description
Providence Staffing has a leading private dental practice in Mobile, AL, dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to their patients in need of a General Dentist. The client offers a work-life balance with the flexibility to work only three days a week. Their practice is committed to delivering personalized treatment in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
Review patients' medical records and history to assess their dental needs and concerns.
Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
Perform thorough dental examinations, including assessing the health of teeth, gums, and oral tissues, as well as reviewing X-rays and diagnostic tests.
Diagnose dental conditions such as tooth decay and gum disease, and develop comprehensive treatment plans to address them.
Perform restorative procedures, including cavity fillings, dental prosthetics, and teeth-whitening treatments, to restore oral health and enhance smiles.
Perform surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions, root canal therapy, and periodontal surgeries, to address advanced dental issues.
Prescribe medication as needed to alleviate pain and manage infections associated with dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations, to promote long-term oral health.
Schedule regular check-ups and preventive dental care appointments to monitor oral health and address any emerging issues.
Requirements:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), or similar degree from an accredited dental school.
In-depth understanding of dental anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Proficiency in operating dental equipment and instruments, including X-ray machines, dental drills, and surgical instruments.
Experience performing surgical procedures, including tooth extractions and periodontal surgeries.
Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
Active dental license in the state of Alabama, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary range: $150,000 - $400,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
