General Foreman (T&D)Houston, TXJob: Construction ServicesPrimary Location: Houston, TXSchedule: Full-timeTravel: Yes, 100 % of the TimeReq ID: The General Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a construction site to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and timely manner.DutiesLead and manage the on-site construction teams, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocationServe as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projectsResponsible for control of crew costs including effective use of manpower, work methods, and operation of equipmentWork with Project Superintendent to pre-plan work schedules and determine manpower levels, materials and equipment necessary for project productivityCoordinate with subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveriesRead specifications, such as blueprints to determine construction requirements or to plan proceduresSet and oversee production goals and daily production tracking.Manage equipment and material resources efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivityExamine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are metConducts safety training of assigned personnel in accordance with safety training proceduresInvestigates accident reports, damage claims, and may be a designated representative to settle minor damage or injury claimsComplete and submit daily to Superintendent the Foreman Daily ReportPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsQualificationsRequirements:Minimum of 12 years' experienceMust meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety PolicyMust be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment programMust have a valid Driver's License.Physical Demands:Ability to stand, walk, sit, or reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and pullAbility to use repetitive hand motions and the ability to grasp and operate field tools and equipmentAbility to climb on, in or through equipment in confined spaces and elevated work using fall protection harnesses.Ability to work long hours with infrequent days off, night shifts, and in adverse climates.Cognitive Requirements:Ability to seek advice, make decisions, exercise sound judgement, and solve problemsAbility to work under stressful situationsAbility to learn and adopt new processes and technologyAbility to apply verbal and/or written instructions or other informationThis job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.EEO/Disabled/Veterans
