Food Service – General HelperPosition: General HelperLocation: Western High SchoolSchedule: 8:20am to 1:55pm, Mon to Fri, 5.25 hours per dayRate of Pay: Current ESP#1 Contract - Starting pay $15.78Reports To: Kitchen ManagerDate Available: ASAPQualificationsHigh School graduate, minimumExperience in quantity food preparation and packaging preferred, will trainExperience cashiering preferred, will trainWorking knowledge of food service production, operation and equipment preferredAbility and desire to work as a team memberAbility to relate to students, staff and co-workersResponsibilitiesProperly prepare, package and serve all food required for breakfast and lunch programsMerchandise and promote school breakfast and lunch programsSubstitute in elementary schools for breakfast and lunch, as neededAssist in stocking all food and suppliesEssential Functions of the JobMust be present at the work site to perform dutiesMust be able to manage stressful situationsMust be able to lead and manage groups of people and individualsMust be able to communicate effectivelyMust be able to build and maintain a safe environmentMust be able to meet the physical demands of the job including but not limited to: walking, kneeling, sitting on the floor, rising from the floor, bending, and lifting at least 20 poundsThe Essential Functions here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
