General Laborer/Machine OperatorLocation: Wickliffe, OHPay: $19.00Shift: 1st ShiftJob Summary: Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer/Machine Operator to support daily operations at their steel processing facility. This role involves operating heavy machinery, assisting with material handling, and performing general labor tasks to ensure efficient and safe production processes.Key Responsibilities:Operate bar processing machines such as straighteners, grinders, or saws according to specificationsLoad and unload steel bars and materials using overhead cranes, hoists, or forkliftsMeasure, inspect, and monitor materials for quality and accuracy using tools such as calipers and tape measuresPerform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or safety concernsAssist with cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the production floor and equipmentFollow all company safety protocols, including wearing required PPEWork as part of a team to meet production goals and deadlinesLift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks in a steel mill environmentComplete all required documentation and production logs accuratelyQualifications:Previous experience in a manufacturing or steel environment preferredFamiliarity with machine operation and basic mechanical troubleshootingAbility to read and follow written instructions, blueprints, or job ordersStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyReliable attendance and a strong work ethic
