nTo start as soon as possible, full time, permanent
nFunctional area: Finance / Controlling
nRemuneration: Exempt
nThe General Ledger Associate will be responsible for assigned projects to deliver month-end financial results in a timely manner to report to both the parent company and its investors. Established best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process to operate in and efficient and effective manner.
nThe Associate will collaborate closely with Controlling Team to assist in projects variance analysis, maintain a high quality, deliverable- focused culture within the team, and continuously improve the efficiency of the accounting and reporting processes.
nRole Responsibilities:
nnnPerform various month end close duties, including preparing standard and miscellaneous journal entries, preparing balances sheet accounts reconciliation and roll forward schedules
n
nnPrepare monthly/quarterly US GAAP financial statements for review by FR team
n
nnProvide ad hoc analysis as needed for internal customers and assist in special projects
n
nnPrepare responses to accounting related inquiries both internal and external auditors
n
nnEstablish best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process in order to operate in an efficient and effective manner
n
n nJob Requirements and Experiences:
nnnBachelor's degree, Accounting
n
nnCPA license preferred, not required
n
nnMinimum 2 years of relevant work in the energy industry or related field
n
nnFamiliar with IFRS and US GAAP
n
nnExperience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
n
nnStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
n
nnDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
n
nnExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
n
nnStrong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
n
nnStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
n
nnAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
n
nnMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
n
nnProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
n
nnResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
n
nnIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
n
n nWork Environment:
nThis position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWEA offices and field locations. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time

nPay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $74,000 - $100,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
