General Manager 5 - Food and Nutrition ServicesGeneral Manager 5 - Food and Nutrition ServicesWashington, DCThe client is seeking a General Manager 5 - Food for MedStar Georgetown University Hospital located in Washington, DC. MedStar Georgetown is one of the D.C. area's oldest academic teaching hospitals.We are looking for an experienced leader with a passion for innovation, training, process improvement, and team building. This position will oversee all food services for the 609 licensed hospital, including, retail, patient, and catering services.The client offers a range of services to healthcare facilities, including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. Employees at our healthcare sites play a crucial role in enhancing patient experience and well-being.What You'll DoHave oversight of day-to-day operations.Deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations.Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.Develop and maintain client and customer relationships (i.e., comfortable in c-suite settings where communication skills are imperative when serving as top level site management).Develop strategic plans.Ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance.What You BringA work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.General Manager Food & Nutrition leadership experience in a healthcare environment.Experience managing in an union environment.Outstanding client relationship skills and strong financial acumen.The ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.The ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.Proficient in computer skills and report management experience.Position SummaryDirects all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day-to-day operations.Key DutiesDirects all contract services.Oversees management/administrative team who are responsible for special functions, cash control and payroll.Customer and client satisfactionDrives growthFinancial managementMinimum Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience 5 yearsMUST HAVE:Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.A work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.General Manager Food & Nutrition leadership experience in a healthcare environment.Experience managing in a union environment.Proficient in computer skills and report management experience.5 years of management and functional experience.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:1. Do you have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.2. Do you have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.3. Do you have General Manager Food & Nutrition leadership experience in a healthcare environment.4. Do you have experience managing in a union environment.5.
