Villa Restaurant Group - Quick service restaurants (Villa Italian Kitchen, South Philly Cheesesteaks and Fries, Green Leaf's and Bananas, Mo' Burger, Jersey Mikes, Salsaritas, Melt Shop, Dos Toros, Hill Country, Juniors, Far East, Asian Chao, Tony + Benny's, Zaros Bakery, etc.) and 40North full service restaurants (Piattino, Office Tavern Grill, Café Villa, Steelworks Wind Creek Casino, Blackhorse Tavern & Pub, Town Bar & Kitchen and NOM Mexican Table & Tequila Bar) is a multi-brand, multi-concept global restaurant group specializing in full service restaurants, quick serve restaurants with corporate and franchise operations.Villa Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and energetic Starbucks General Manager to lead our brand-new Starbucks location opening at JFK International Airport’s Terminal 6.This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to build a team from the ground up, create a strong store culture, and deliver an exceptional Starbucks experience in a fast-paced airport environment.What You’ll DoLead all aspects of daily store operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, inventory, cash management, food safety, and brand complianceRecruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team of managers, shift leaders, and baristasCreate a welcoming environment while maintaining Starbucks’ standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitalityDrive sales and profitability by managing labor, inventory, product waste, and other controllable expensesEstablish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountableCoach and develop employees while building a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplaceEnsure compliance with Starbucks standards, Villa Restaurant Group policies, airport requirements, union requirements, and all applicable employment and food-safety regulationsMaintain accurate operational, payroll, scheduling, and financial recordsPartner with airport and company leadership to support store-opening activities and ongoing business goalsMaintain the flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needsWhat You’ll NeedAt least three years of restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality management experiencePrevious General Manager or comparable leadership experience strongly preferredStarbucks management experience is highly preferredProven experience recruiting, training, coaching, and retaining employeesStrong knowledge of labor management, inventory control, budgeting, and operational performanceExcellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skillsThe ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a high-volume environmentExperience working in an airport, union, or similarly regulated environment is a plusThe ability to meet all JFK Airport security and badging requirementsThe ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a restaurant environmentWhy Join Villa Restaurant Group?Be part of the leadership team for an exciting new Starbucks openingBuild and develop your team from the beginningWork with a growing hospitality organizationAccess opportunities for professional development and career advancementReceive competitive compensation and benefits based on eligibilityVilla Restaurant Group is an equal opportunity employer.
