Role Overview
This position is for a General Manager in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s logos and food products. The franchisee is the employer and is responsible for all employment matters.
Responsibilities
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job!
The General Manager works with the leader to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve those goals. The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers who have specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This includes helping the Department Managers set their own goals, following up on progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving the departments, the restaurant improves.
The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high volume locations. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail.
You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate owned and operated restaurants.
