Have you led CNC machining, precision grinding or high-tolerance component manufacturing operations? This established aerospace and defence manufacturer produces high-precision engineered components for major aviation customers. With strong customer relationships, growing demand and substantial investment planned, the business is entering an exciting period of expansion and modernisation.
The General Manager will take complete ownership of business performance, combining commercial leadership with hands-on manufacturing expertise to drive profitability, operational excellence and long-term growth.
As the General Manager your responsibilities will include
Owning full P&L performance , including revenue, profitability, cash flow, pricing and capital investment
Leading CNC machining, precision grinding, turning, milling and high-volume manufacturing
Driving Lean manufacturing, operational efficiency, quality, throughput and on-time delivery
Delivering major capacity expansion , including equipment investment, production facilities and manufacturing scale-up
Developing high-performing teams, strengthening aerospace customer relationships and identifying growth opportunities
As the General Manager you will bring
Leadership experience as a General Manager, Plant Manager or Operations Director within precision manufacturing
Strong technical understanding of CNC machining, grinding, tight tolerances and engineered components
Proven success improving manufacturing performance, profitability and operational efficiency
Experience leading capital investment, equipment upgrades or production expansion
Strong commercial acumen, financial ownership and hands‑on leadership capabilities
Experience with precision bearings, aerospace components, engineered metal products or high-volume machining would be particularly valuable.
The General Manager will have the autonomy to modernise manufacturing capabilities, invest in new equipment and build a stronger, more profitable operation.
