About the role
Urban Furnished, a NYC furnished-rental company, is hiring a full-time General Manager & CTO to serve as an embedded operating executive. You’ll own day-to-day operational execution while driving the systems, automation, and technology that scale the business. This is a hands-on leadership seat working directly with the founders.
What you’ll do
Lead full-time embedded operational management and daily execution alongside the Support team
Provide senior oversight of Sales, Support, and Business Development function leads
Hold authority over hiring and structural changes within each function (per Leadership decisions)
Build new systems, automations, and custom financial models against a strategic roadmap
Get first look at any new system work before Urban engages third parties
Own operational workflow for issues materially affecting performance
Respond same-day to material operational, financial, legal, or reputational matters
Deliverables & cadence
Weekly Operating Pulse (sales, KPIs, escalations)
Monthly Operating Review (performance, systems health, strategy)
Quarterly Strategic Operations Review 90-Day Systems Roadmap
Annual Operating Plan and Organizational Review
Weekly leadership syncs, monthly leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, annual offsite
What we’re looking for
Proven operational leadership in a fast-moving, hands-on environment
Strong technical foundation: systems development, automation, and financial modeling
Experience managing and developing function leads
Comfort operating as both a builder and a manager
Hospitality, real estate, or furnished-rental experience a plus
Compensation & benefits
Up to 100k a year Bonuses based on sales and KPI’s
