PositionSummary
OnyxisseekinganexperiencedGeneralManager,ExcavationtoleadourExcavationDivision. Thisseniorleadershiproleisresponsibleforsafety,operations,people,customerrelationships,financialperformance,andoveralldivisionalresults.
KeyResponsibilities
LeadtheExcavationDivision'sbusinessplan,budget,staffing,operatingpriorities,andperformancegoals.
Managedivisionalfinancialperformance,includingrevenue,margins,overhead,forecasting,backlog,andprofit-and-lossresults.
Partnerwithestimatingandexecutiveleadershiponbidstrategy,customerrelationships,contractterms,andpursuitpriorities.
Overseeexcavationprojectsfromestimatingthroughcompletion,ensuringproperstaffing,scheduling,equipmentplanning,safety,quality,andcontractcompliance.
Developandsupportprojectmanagement,fieldoperations,estimating,andsupervisoryteamswhilefosteringaccountability,teamwork,andcontinuousimprovement.
Championsafety,compliance,andoperationalexcellenceacrossallexcavationwork.
Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithcustomers,subcontractors,vendors,partners,andinternaldepartments.
Qualifications
15+yearsofprogressiveexperienceinexcavation,heavycivil,sitedevelopment,undergroundutility,orrelatedconstructionwork.
Seniorleadershipexperiencemanagingasignificantprojectportfolio,businessunit,orlargeconstructionteam.
Strongfinancialmanagementexperience,includingP&Lownership,forecasting,WIPreview,jobcosts,budgets,changemanagement,andprofitability.
Strongunderstandingofexcavationoperations,estimating,projectmanagement,scheduling,productionplanning,constructionsafety,andcompliance.
Provenabilitytoleadthroughothers,buildstrongteams,managecustomerrelationships,solveproblems,andmakesoundbusinessdecisions.
FluentinMicrosoftOfficeSuite,HCSSorsimilarconstructionmanagementsoftware,andERPsystemssuchasSage,ViewpointVista.
WorkEnvironment
Frequenttraveltoconstructionsites,customermeetings,andcompanylocations.
Workinbothofficeandoutdoorconstructionenvironments,includingactivejobsitesanduneventerrain.
Flexibilitytomeetprojectandoperationaldemands.
