Job description

We are seeking a high-energy, sales-driven General Manager to lead our learning center in Flushing. This role is designed for a "hunter" who excels at proactive lead generation and market expansion. You will be responsible for driving revenue through two primary channels: managing high-value K-12 1-on-1 after-school tutoring sales and spearheading B2B outreach for our adult English language programs.

Core Responsibilities

Traffic Acquisition: Proactively capture and convert foot traffic from the mall and surrounding high-traffic areas.

Referral Management: Develop and implement incentive programs to turn existing parents into a consistent source of new student referrals.

Consultative Closing: Lead the end-to-end sales process—from initial contact to formal consultation and closing high-value 1-on-1 enrollment.

Retention & Growth: Monitor student progress and maintain strong relationships with parents to ensure renewals and referrals.

Strategic Partnerships & Group Class Planning: Adult English (B2B)

B2B Channel Development: Identify and approach local businesses (restaurants, retail stores, service industries, etc.). Establish partnerships where these businesses refer their employees to our center for English training.

Class Scheduling & Planning: As adult courses are group-based, you are responsible for developing the master class schedule. This includes matching student levels, instructor availability, and facility space to maximize class occupancy and profitability.

Capacity Management: Analyze market demand to decide when to open new group sessions and ensure a high "fill rate" for every class launched.

Center Operations & Performance Leadership

Performance Benchmarking: Meet and exceed weekly/monthly sales quotas.

Staff Oversight: Manage the instructional team to ensure teaching quality remains high, which is the key to student retention and positive word-of-mouth.

Daily Operations: Oversee the daily administrative health and professional environment of the Flushing center.

Qualifications

Proven experience in proactive, "outbound" sales (e.g., retail, real estate, insurance, or premium education consulting).

Strong logical and organizational skills to manage complex group class schedules and resource allocation.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage both a sales pipeline and a team of educators.

Familiarity with the Flushing community and its business landscape is highly preferred.

Job Type : Full-time

Work Location : In person, th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354

Pay : $5,000 per month + Commission based on center performance.
