Job description

The General Manager role involves leading store personnel, managing inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining brand standards, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer service within the retail department.

Candidates for the General Manager position should have a bachelor’s degree preferred, prior management and cash handling experience, ability to train and manage a large team, strong interpersonal skills, and must pass background checks and be at least 21 years old.

The job requires physical stamina to perform tasks involving movement, lifting up to 50 lbs, and excellent communication; it includes a flexible 45+ hours per week schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays, and offers a competitive salary with benefits.

ROLE SUMMARY

The General Manager will be responsible for leadership and supervision of store personnel , inventory tracking and management, achieving key performance metric s and ensuring the efficient daily operations of the store. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional customer experience .

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and implement strategies to driveservice standards and positive sales results

Maintainbrand standardsin visual merchandising

Ensure consistentregulatory compliancewith all state specificregulations

Review, communicate and ensure compliance withall company SOPsand assure that any changes are communicated to employees

Evaluateemployeeperformanceandidentifyhiringandtrainingneeds

Provide coaching, training, and developmentto the team that is focused on company service standards and accountability to meetspecific objectives

Responsible for handling and resolving patient issues and escalations

Maintain professional working relationships with business partners

Schedule effectively withinlaborbudget to meet the needs of the business

Perform other tasks that have been assigned by management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’sdegreepreferred,fouryearsrelatedexperienceand/ortraining orequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience

Priormanagementexperience,preferably inretailand/orcustomerserviceareais aplus

Musthavepriorcashhandlingexperience

Strong interpersonal skillsand professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff; abilitytoupholda strictlevelof confidentialityand discretion

Able to communicate in conversational Englishtowork effectively with customers and team members,operateelectronicequipment(computer,scanner, printer,etc.),comprehendsafetyprocedures,andutilizetelecommunicationdevices

Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies

Must be able to relate to and work withpatrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress, or displaying a hostile attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

Constantly required to move/traverse throughout entire facility, including tight spaces

A ccurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public; observe /inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices

Frequently required to manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery): push/pull objects up to 50lbs; lift/carry/position objects up to 50 lbs. ; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self and/or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl)

Must have visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position

Occasionally required to remain in a seated position

WORK SCHEDULE

45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
