Confidential Search General Manager – Industrial Technical Services
Location: North of Indianapolis, IN. (onsite leadership role)
Compensation: Competitive Base + annual bonus
A well-established, growing provider of technical and quality services to manufacturing, energy, aerospace clients is conducting a confidential search for a General Manager. This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role with full P&L ownership and a team of about 25 technical professionals.
The right person will build a high-performing team, sharpen operational and financial performance, and grow the customer base, with the backing of a larger organization's regional and corporate resources.
What you'll do
Own the full P&L for the location: annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
Lead, coach, and develop a technical team, including goal-setting, training, career development, and succession planning
Build a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
Partner with the sales and business development team to grow existing accounts and win new ones
Assess staffing and capacity needs and plan for scale
Work with Quality to maintain accredited quality standards and resolve customer issues with lasting corrective actions
Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, Safety, and Legal in a matrixed environment
Serve as the local face of the business with customers and in the industry
What you bring
8+ years in a technical services, laboratory, or precision/quality-driven operations environment, including 3+ years in people leadership
3+ years of P&L responsibility; multi-site experience a plus
A track record of building and unifying high-performing teams
Hands-on technical credibility with measurement, testing, or instrumentation work
Strong customer relationship skills and a results-driven, growth-oriented mindset
Associate's or Bachelor's in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred, not required
Valid driver's license; some local travel to customer sites
