General Manager - Upscale Restaurant Group
Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 base
Location: NYC
We're recruiting on behalf of a high-end restaurant known for exceptional service and hospitality. They're looking for an experienced General Manager to lead front-of-house operations and help drive the next chapter of the restaurant's growth.
About the Role :
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the General Manager will own the guest experience end-to-end - leading, training, and scheduling the FOH team, partnering closely with culinary leadership on menu planning, and helping shape the restaurant's positioning and standard of excellence in the market. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on the floor and takes real ownership of the business.
What You'll Do:
Hire, train, evaluate, and manage the FOH team; support the Chef with BOH staffing needs
Lead scheduling, floor supervision, and day-to-day service standards
Manage FOH ordering, inventory, and beverage program in partnership with the Bar Manager
Own payroll reporting, nightly close-out/cash reconciliation, and budget adherence (labor, controllable expenses, food and beverage cost)
Build guest relationships and represent the restaurant within the local community
Oversee facility upkeep, signage, and service consistency
Partner with the sales team on event and group function execution
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2+ years of Assistant Manager experience or above in food & beverage
High school diploma or GED required
Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
Comfortable with a 50-55 hour work week and the physical demands of a busy floor (standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs)
