Logistics Operation Manager
A Logistics Operation Manager oversees all aspects of a distribution facility's operations, coordinating shipping and receiving, ensuring quality, managing staff, and optimizing processes to achieve efficiency and meet production goals.

What you will do on a typical day
Planning and Scheduling
Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer demand and deadlines.
Monitor production progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.
Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure timely availability of materials.
Quality Control
Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.
Staff Management
Lead and motivate a team of warehouse forklift operators, material handlers, and supervisors.
Hire, train, and evaluate employees.
Address employee issues and concerns.
Administer disciplinary actions and set corrective behavior goals.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
What you should have
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field is often required.
Experience: Several years of experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in a leadership role.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety procedures.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
