Job description
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and hands-on Landscaping General Manager to oversee and grow the operations of our landscaping company. The ideal candidate will lead day-to-day operations, manage field teams and administrative staff, ensure high-quality project delivery, and drive strategic growth and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for landscape design, installation, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of landscape construction, maintenance, and enhancement projects.
Manage scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation for crews and equipment.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
Recruit, train, and manage field and office staff.
Lead performance reviews, coaching, and team development.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
Client Relations: Handle customer escalations and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Collaborate with sales/design teams to ensure smooth project handoffs.
Financial Oversight: Monitor job costing, budgeting, and profitability across projects.
Approve invoices, payroll, and purchasing.
Work with leadership on forecasting and growth strategies.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Conduct job site inspections to monitor quality and progress.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
5+ years of leadership experience in landscaping, construction, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape installation, irrigation, and maintenance.
Proven track record of managing teams and complex operations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
