General Manager Lead. Develop. Make an Impact.At The Wellsville Group, we believe great stores are built by great leaders. As a General Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving performance, developing people, and creating a culture where teams and individuals can succeed.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven retail leader who is ready to operate at a General Manager level while providing leadership support across the market.
Your primary home will be our Amherst showroom, with the opportunity to support other locations within the market as business needs require.
When the GM is present, you’ll be a strong leadership partner—helping drive the business, coach the team, and keep priorities moving forward. When the GM is away, you’ll step up and confidently lead the showroom.
You’ll be visible on the sales floor, connected to your team, and actively involved in the business every day.
What You’ll DoYou’ll be a hands-on leader who is comfortable taking ownership and making things happen. Your role will include:
Partnering with General Managers to drive sales, culture, and operational excellence
Stepping into full showroom leadership when the GM is offsite, on PTO, or business needs require
Leading from the sales floor and staying connected to both customers and team members
Coaching, developing, and holding team members accountable to expectations
Supporting recruiting, onboarding, and development of future leaders
Reinforcing company initiatives, processes, and standards
Identifying opportunities and challenges within the business and taking action
Helping create consistency and strong leadership across the market
Building a culture where people feel supported, challenged, and motivated to perform

What You BringPrevious retail leadership experience required
High-volume or multi-unit leadership experience is a plus
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to coach and develop others
Confidence making decisions and taking ownership
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to adapt to changing business needs
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and modern collaboration tools
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the market as needed
Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
Previous store-level leadership experience preferred
Compensation & Schedule$70,000–$75,000 base salary + performance-based bonus
Target earning potential of approximately $110,000
Average 50 hours per week
