Lead the Charge as General Manager at The BackPorch!
Are you a natural leader with a passion for creating exceptional experiences? The Backporch, located in Royse City, TX, is on the hunt for a dynamic and driven General Manager to oversee and elevate our restaurant operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have at least 1 year of management experience, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing
As our General Manager, you’ll wear many hats and play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our restaurant. Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing Operations: Manage all Front of House and Back of House activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop employees and managers to build a strong, cohesive team.
Scheduling & Labor Management: Create and manage employee schedules while keeping labor costs in check.
Customer Service Excellence: Maintain high standards of service and handle guest concerns with professionalism.
Financial Oversight: Monitor sales, labor, food costs, inventory, and overall profitability to drive success.
Inventory & Vendor Management: Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure product availability.
Operational Procedures: Ensure proper execution of opening, closing, cash-handling, and daily operational tasks.
Health & Safety Standards: Maintain cleanliness, organization, food safety, and compliance with health codes.
Employee Performance: Address performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues while fostering a positive workplace.
Communication & Meetings: Lead manager and staff meetings, clearly communicating goals and expectations.
Facility Maintenance: Coordinate repairs and maintenance to keep equipment and facilities in top shape.
Promotions & Events: Assist with initiatives that boost restaurant traffic and sales, such as promotions and events.
Guest Feedback: Review customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
Leadership & Accountability: Build a professional, positive culture and hold the team accountable for high standards.
Ownership Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact with ownership, providing updates on performance and needs.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who embodies leadership, organization, and a commitment to excellence. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed in this role:
At least 1 year of management experience in a restaurant or similar setting.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
A sharp eye for detail and a knack for maintaining high standards.
A results-driven mindset with the ability to manage financial performance and operational efficiency.
Knowledge of food safety, health codes, and workplace regulations is a plus.
