Are you a passionate, hands-on hospitality leader ready to take ownership of a boutique hotel operation while helping lead an exciting brand transformation? You may have FOUND the right place.
FOUND Hotel Carlton is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our 169-key San Francisco property as we prepare to convert to Series by Marriott in Q1 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven hotel leader to oversee the day-to-day operation while playing a key role in preparing the property and team for its transition into the Marriott system. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable driving guest satisfaction, developing teams, managing financial performance, and executing the operational standards required for a successful conversion.
As General Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the hotel's operational and financial performance, including:
Lead, coach, and develop the hotel team while creating a culture of accountability and hospitality.
Lead property-level preparation and operational execution for the Series by Marriott conversion.
Drive guest satisfaction and ensure consistent service and property standards.
Partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and Marketing to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and topline performance.
Manage budgets, forecasts, labor, expenses, and cost controls.
Maintain strong standards across guestrooms, public areas, and building operations.
Identify performance opportunities and execute action plans to improve results.
Ensure compliance with company policies, brand requirements, and applicable safety and regulatory standards.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of hotel leadership experience, preferably within boutique, lifestyle, select-service, or Marriott-branded hotels.
Previous GM, AGM, Director of Operations, or comparable senior hotel leadership experience.
Marriott experience and/or previous hotel conversion or brand-transition experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of hotel operations, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls.
Demonstrated knowledge of hotel sales, marketing, and revenue strategy.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Proactive, entrepreneurial, and guest-focused leadership style.
A hands-on leader who is comfortable being highly visible and engaged in the daily operation.

Compensation
Salary Range: $110,000–$120,000 annually
Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
