Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesFinal Assembly Operations: Perform assembly of components and subassemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures.Quality Assurance: Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements; identify and report defects or discrepancies.Tool & Equipment Use: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment required for final assembly processes.Production Efficiency: Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and adherence to quality standards.Documentation: Accurately complete production records, checklists, and required documentation in a timely manner.Material Handling: Move materials and components within the work area using proper handling techniques and equipment.Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDPrevious manufacturing or assembly experience preferredAbility to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or diagramsBasic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work effectively in a team environmentBasic computer skills for data entry and documentationPhysical RequirementsThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull.Perform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required.Safely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position.Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position.Ability to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the positionWork EnvironmentThe employee will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:The need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedureVarying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.Moderate to high levels of noise in designated production areas.Outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require.Welding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas.Time Travel RequiredNo travel requiredThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.Our Core Principals: Safety.
