Job description

The Mount Sinai Health System Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery is seeking applications for full-time General Otolaryngologists to join the academic staff at Mount Sinai and three outpatient practices in Manhattan!

The Mount Sinai Health System's Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery seeks Fellowship-trained General Otolaryngologists to manage care across the Mount Sinai Health System. The position offers faculty unparalleled opportunities in clinical care and research. Consistently ranked among the best by U.S. News & World Report, the Department demonstrates excellence in all facets of clinical care, education and research. The Head and Neck Institute, Ear Institute and Grabscheid Voice and Swallowing Center are internationally recognized for innovations and advancements in the field. Some of these include the first robotic surgery for oropharyngeal cancers in New York, endoscopic surgery for otologic tumors and transgender voice care. The Head and Neck Cancer Research Program has been in existence for more than 20 years, and offers a wide breadth of groundbreaking clinical trials. Our faculty are also recognized leaders in skull base and sinus surgery, as well as microvascular reconstruction. They provide the highest level of multidisciplinary care, and embrace teaching students and participating in vibrant research. The Department of Otolaryngology is expanding its clinical practice throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City, Long Island and New Jersey. This position offers candidates an outstanding opportunity to join our team of highly specialized otolaryngologists who practice in modern state-of-the-art facilities within the Mount Sinai Health System and in our satellite practices. The physicians will provide the highest level of quality patient-centered healthcare and will embrace the teaching of medical students and residents, as well as participate in clinical research.

At Mount Sinai Doctors - West 57th Street , this location combines a complete range of health services in the convenience of a Midtown location. With all the noise, color, flash and bustle of Times Square, Broadway and Rockefeller Center, Midtown is the neighborhood many picture first when they think of New York. Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal and St. Patrick's Cathedral are all among the world's most recognizable destinations. The neighborhood isn't just sightseeing, however: it also boasts top-flight restaurants and bars, including the Theatre District's Restaurant Row and rowdy Hell's Kitchen's bars and clubs.

Another practice will be located on West 53nd Street and 8th Ave . Hell's Kitchen is a neighborhood that is considered to be bordered by 34th Street (or 41st Street) to the south, 59th Street to the north, Eighth Avenue to the east, and the Hudson River to the west. Hell's Kitchen has become an increasingly upscale neighborhood of affluent young professionals as well as residents from the "old days." Ninth Avenue is noted for its many ethnic restaurants. There are more restaurants and food carts and trucks on Tenth Avenue between 43rd and 47th Streets. Hell's Kitchen's side streets are mostly lined with trees. A newer park in Hell's Kitchen is the Hudson Park and Boulevard, which is part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project.

Mount Sinai Doctors - Delancey Street is home for medical care on the Lower East Side. It provides primary and specialty care for adults and children. This facility offers ample space and on-site X-ray for a comfortable setting in which to receive comprehensive care. Patients are like an extended family, and it treats each with special care. This location has extended evening and Saturday hours as well as same-day appointments.
