Job description
Sthenos Technologies is hiring a General Physician (MD/DO) for a contract role providing on-site outpatient primary care at a federal correctional facility in Oakdale, Louisiana.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. No nights or weekends; federal holidays off.
Term: 1-year base contract plus four option years.
Responsibilities:
Sick call and chronic care visits for adults in custody
Physical examinations
Medication orders and clinical documentation
Working with the facility's health services team
Qualifications:
MD or DO with an active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state
Current CPR/BLS
DEA registration if required by the facility
Malpractice coverage, immunizations and TB screening
Able to pass a federal background check (fingerprints and NCIC)
Correctional, VA, IHS, military or other federal experience preferred
Board certification is a plus
