Production Worker – Food Manufacturing (Now Hiring)Join a growing, hands-on manufacturing team where you'll operate production equipment, mix and measure ingredients, run extrusion processes, and help create high-quality finished products. This Production Worker role is perfect for individuals who enjoy fast-paced, physical work and want long-term stability, training, and advancement opportunities in a GMP-regulated environment.What You'll DoFollow manufacturing orders to gather, measure, weigh, and document ingredients for mixingLoad ingredients (up to 50 lbs.) into mixers and blend according to time and batch specificationsTransfer mixed batches to the next stage of productionOperate extrusion equipment to produce finished productsConduct sensory evaluations to ensure product quality meets customer specificationsMove finished products from extrusion and drying using drums, carts, or traysApply finishing touches using the panning process—polishing and adding liquid ingredients manually or through automationUse hand tools and RF scanners to support production, batching, and inventory accuracyEssential Skills1+ year of recent manufacturing or production experienceExperience with mixing, batching, extrusion, polishing, or finishing preferredAbility to use RF scanners, hand trucks, sifting screeners, and other basic production toolsAbility to lift/move up to 56 lbs. with or without accommodationStrong English and math skills; ability to read/write and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and shipping documentsReliable, flexible, and willing to work overtime and occasional SaturdaysTeam-oriented mindset with strong work ethicAdditional Skills & QualificationsTraining provided for candidates with less experienceHands-on learning and promotion opportunities from withinIdeal for individuals seeking long-term stability in a growing facilityWhy You'll Love Working HereYou'll experience a smaller, close-knit company culture where employees are valued, supported, and given real opportunities to grow. If you're looking for a place to build a career—not just a job—this is it.Work Environment1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.GMP-regulated food production facility with 8 production rooms and 4 packaging linesMust follow strict hygiene and safety protocols: uniform, hair net, beard net (if applicable), safety shoesRequired to wash and sanitize hands and sanitize boots before entering the production floor and each roomFast-paced, hands-on environment focused on safety, sanitation, and consistent product qualityJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
