Job description
General Production WorkerMachine Operators are essential in ensuring smooth production processes throughout their shifts. Operators are responsible for loading raw material resins, running machines, conducting quality checks, documenting results, and unloading finished products into packages and onto pallets. Each customer's requirements might vary, necessitating different documentation or packaging practices depending on the day's production.ResponsibilitiesWork from a production schedule located within the work area.Randomly check products every hour to ensure they meet customer specifications and document progress.Monitor the flow of product into processing machinery.Tend machines such as palletizers, case packers, injection machines, and box machines to maintain product flow.Check finished products for defects, including bubbles, inflation issues, burns, or holes.Maintain housekeeping of work areas.Essential SkillsPrevious manufacturing or warehouse experience.Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts.Capability to use a flight of stairs a few times per shift.Attention to detail.Must provide own steel-toed or composite shoes.Additional Skills & QualificationsGeneral labor skills.Proficiency in machine operation and packaging.Experience in inspection, troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly.Why Work Here?We offer comprehensive medical insurance plans, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending options like HSAs or FSAs. The facility is temperature-controlled but may feel warm due to the blow molding process. Safety attire is required, including work pants, long-sleeve shirts, or provided lab coats, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes. Jewelry and piercings must be removed due to GMP standards.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
